Center of Organization Research (ZOG)
How does corporate governance interact with sustainable strategic decisions and responsible decision-making at the top of the firm? How do organizations (of all types and sizes) stay competitive in today’s complex world? To answer these questions the center focuses on three interrelated areas of research:
1. Legitimacy and Responsibility
2. Diversity in the Corporate Elite
3. Strategic and Organizational Aspects of a Digital Transformation
Our research draws on a wide range of theoretical perspectives. Often, we enrich “classic” theories in management with insights from sociology and psychology. This allows us to take a behavioral view on the questions at hand. We use different methodologies with a strong emphasis on quantitative empirical analyses. Although the activities of the Center of Organization Research revolve around advancing research, the knowledge gained in the areas mentioned above also impacts our teaching at the Institute for Strategic Management.
